The immersion of iron or steel in an electrolyte, a solution of zinc sulfate or cyanide. Electrolytic action deposits a coating of pure zinc on the surface of the iron or steel. Zinc coating will be pure and dense, thus it has better corrosion resistance to corrosive gas and liquid, and protect base metal in long time. Meanwhile, EGI has better ductility and bendability. They are widely used in machinery manufacture, electronics, home appliance and automobile industry.
